Campaign Issues

So many issues face us. Candidate can tackle them and make our community a better place.

Campaign Issues: Education

Jane Smith Used Online Candidate for her Campaign Website CMS

Education has two parts: education of our youth is what first comes to mind, but education of the electorate (those who are eligible to vote) is equally, if not more, important.

Without an understanding of our system of Government, beginning with our US Constitution and New Mexico State Constitution, we have no basis by which to judge our Elected Officials who make laws that affect our lives. In many cases those Officials violate our Constitutions with impunity.

Once knowledgeable as to the law, and the division of power within the three branches of government, we must then know the issues and proposed legislation.  The next step is to know the candidates: their voting records, if they have served in public office, or their personal history if they are new candidates.

Armed with all his knowledge, only then can the educated voter make an informed decision at the ballot box.  But…that is only if the voter has registered to vote. Without being registered, you cannot vote and the most powerful tool to ensure your freedom is lost. So… register at NMvote.org!

The second part of education is that of our youth. Our Public Education System is broken. Our Nation is ranked 17 th in the World in education. New Mexico is the worst State in our Country in Pre-K through 12th grade. Our New Mexico education system is heavily influenced by the School Teachers’ Unions. It makes sense; the Unions pump money into the election campaigns of those candidates that will support their agendas. In reality, the Unions and the Government are teaching our children. The teachers have very little, if any, say in our children’s education. Our teachers are as much victimized by the Union/Government Cabal as our children. If you doubt this, ask a teacher who has spent some years in the education system, maybe retired or quit, what they have to say about the system. Be sure to do it in private, so as not to jeopardize their job or social standing within the community.

Once elected, I will propose and vote for School Choice so the parents  decide where their children go to school and what they learn, not the Government and Unions.  There are many options that parents may not be aware of: Christian Schools, Charter Schools, Private Schools and even Internet Schools that are free to the public, such as Kahn Academy.

The Federal Public-School System is a Monopoly and without competition there is no incentive to improve. The Free Market Enterprise System works for schools, just as it does in every other enterprise. The Law of Economics proves that with competition, the public will get the best product for the cheapest price.

The only way to change the system is to elect the right Candidates.

You can choose to educate yourselves now so our children will be better educated going forward. But know.…without your vote the choice is no longer yours.

Campaign Issue: Security

Too Much Traffic

As we watch our cities burn and lawlessness take over, we must question the wisdom of the Elected Officials that allow this loss of life and destruction of property. Albuquerque is one of those cities, where the rule of law has been abandoned. Having been a Philadelphia Policeman for 25 years, I know when peaceful protest turns to rioting the public suffers. The Mayors and Governors of those cities under siege have lost control, and the citizens are being victimized. By and large, those cities are run by Democrat Legislators, the same party that wants open borders, defunding of Law Enforcement, sanctuaries for criminals and then eliminate your right to keep and bear arms for your personal protection.

The thin Blue Line of Law Enforcement is the only thing that stands between safety and lawless anarchy.

The once reasonable Democrat Party has been hijacked by a Regressive Socialist Cabal of Evil. Here in New Mexico, Dona Ana County, and the City of Las Cruces, we have a Legislature controlled by the Democrat Party. Federal Troops were sent to Albuquerque, our city to the North, in response to the escalating violence. The Governor, Attorney General and New Mexico Senator Heinrich, Democrats all, denounce the sending of Federal Troops while the Bernalillo County Sheriff Manuel Gonzales welcomed them. Politicians believe they know better than Law Enforcement how to handle lawlessness. The only solution to this insanity is to vote The Republican Party, the Party Law and Order, into Office.

Campaign Issues: Family

Jane

My focus on Family is the next step following Education and Jobs. Once we have informed voters, and abundant job opportunities for our well-educated youth, the most basic unit of community is possible…The Family. With a self-sustaining income, along with the natural and mutually supporting bond between husband and wife, what follows is the perfect opportunity to raise children.

In my 25 years as a Philadelphia Policeman, I have seen generational welfare. The men in those communities were reduced to an existence devoid of self-respect, they could produce children, but could not, or would not, father them. A big factor was the lack of job opportunities; jobs were not abundant and available to all. It took an exceptional person to break the bond of government-induced ghetto slavery. Usually it was the strength and fortitude of the single mother that grew exceptional children. An example is our Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, Ben Carson. Ben’s beginning was not rare, where his father left the family. But his ending is exceptional because of his mother.

With the natural bond of husband and wife, the opportunity exists for a cohesive and mutually supportive family that can be the new norm for generations.

Again, education is important. We must educate our young adults as to the rewards of celibacy. You have heard the term, “free sex.” Well…like all things in life, it is not free. We, and our children, pay the price. The multi-million-dollar abortion industry thrives because of so called “free sex.”

If we do not choose our partners based on mutual respect and commitment, it is almost impossible to create the loving bond of Family. And the unwanted children, if they survive the immoral but man-made legality of abortion, will most probably be scarred for life in some way.

Family can heal the Nation and the world.
